Instructor Statement:
Former tutor for a standardized test company and a highly experienced educator currently accepting students for standardized test preparation. (Additional services such general homework help, ELL (ESL), college applications, grant or scholarship proposals, or job applications also available; contact me about your needs.)

I have worked with young people with dyslexia and other learning or physical challenges that impact their studies. Parents and students have rated my work very highly, and test results prove that my methods work.

Experience:
I have offered SAT tutoring services since 2004. During the summer of 2008, I am providing SAT-prep classes for a pre-college summer program at Emerson College. I have worked for Summit Educational Services (Waltham, MA) and Vertex Academic Services (Manhattan), and I currently work independently.

My experience also includes instructing K-12 teachers enrolled in "Salem In History," a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. Participants received graduate credits through Salem State College. As a professor at Berklee College of Music, I was selected for the Writing Across the Curriculum committee, and was also awarded a staff research grant.

During the past year, I was awarded a research fellowship at the Phillips Library in Salem, MA, and I also was selected as the first recipient of the Frances E. Malamy research fellowship for my dissertation research.
